Participation in a training seminar for judges of Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan in Shymkent

On 21 and 22 September 2017, Oleksandr Ovchynnykov participated as a lecturer at a training seminar for Uzbek and Kazakh judges in Shymkent (Republic of Kazakhstan). The seminar, which was organized by the European Union and the Supreme Court of the Republic of Kazakhstan, concerned the quality of judicial decisions in administrative, civil and criminal cases.

During the two days of work, Oleksandr Ovchynnykov mainly focused on criminal procedure, in particular regarding the requirements of fair trial, in accordance with international standards, notably the European Convention on Human Rights.
