Oleksandr Ovchynnykov participated in the round-table on the reopening of judicial proceedings following judgments of the European Court of Human Rights (ECHR) in the Supreme Court of Ukraine

On 22 February 2018, upon invitation by the managers of the Council of Europe project “Support to the Implementation of the Judicial Reform in Ukraine”, Oleksandr Ovchynnykov spoke before the judges of the Supreme Court’s Grand Chamber on the reopening of judicial proceedings following judgments of the ECHR.

Oleksandr Ovchynnykov commented in some detail the international standards in this matter. He also gave an interpretative analysis of the recent legislative modification to the Ukrainian procedural codes in light of these standards.
